Vitéz Archduke József Károly Habsburg-Lothringen: Historical truths override slander

A visit to the grave of Ferenc Farkas de Kisbarnak

August 20, 2022

Author: Vitéz Nob. Gábor von Hegyi, Seat Staff Captain

The Order of Vitéz laid a wreath at the grave of the third Captain General of our Order, with the help of Dr. Gergö Tóth, central manager of the MHBK. Since the general no longer has a living direct descendant, the Staff Captaincy of Germany deals with the care of the grave.

Viéz Nob. Ferenc Farkas was one of the organizers and leaders of the Hungarian Emigrants in Germany. He was also a member of the Hungarian Freedom Movement and the Comrades’ Association of Hungarian Fighters (MHBK). In 1947, he was the organizer of the Hungarian pilgrimage to Altötting. From 1948, he took part in all anti-communist world conferences, giving a large number of lectures on the past and present of Hungarians in the shadow of Soviet weapons. He wrote numerous books, studies, and articles for the Hungarian cause.

Obituary of József Tassányi †

Nemzetes vitéz nemes Tassányi József törzskapitány úr – may the Lord grant you a good passage to heaven.

Dying is sad. But death is also the gateway to be celebrated into God’s presence, a gift. He is now on his way to his real home.

Everyone waiting there, family and friends who have gone ahead, are already looking forward to greeting him.

Vitéz Tassányi József, a true vitéz, a true loving Hungarian and Australian patriot – leaves us above all with good memories.

Late old age weighed on him and was already purgatory on earth for him. His last exchanges with us were ones of kindness, respect and forgiveness.

Lord have mercy on him and grant him the happiness of Your presence.

Amen.

We, the entire Szék and the Széki Censor wish to give the award “Pillar of the Order”  to vitéz Tassányi József, for his great work alongside my late father, Főkapitány vitéz József Árpád magyar királyi herceg.

The most Hungarian Habsburg who saw Horthy as a rival

July 10, 2022

Sixty years ago, on 6 July 1962, Archduke Joseph Augustus Habsburg, the most Hungarian of the Habsburgs, died. He wrote his diaries in Hungarian, lived in Hungary and only fled to the West to escape the Soviet occupation. Mihály Nánay, senior researcher at the Rubicon Institute, told Index that while his ancestors had learned Hungarian and got to know Hungarians well, he had become Hungarian without any constraints, lived with a Hungarian heart and thought with a Hungarian mind.

András Sereg’s article can be found on index.hu, on the following link:
