Dr. Ádám Berniczei-Roykó, Deputy Captain General of the legitimate Order of Vitéz, has received an official invitation from the International Commission for Orders of Chivalry (I.C.O.C.) to represent Hungary as a member of the Committee. The Deputy Captain General accepted the invitation.

The purpose of the Commission is to constitute an international scientific and scholarly body for the study and research of bodies (Chivalric Orders) granting honours, distinction or awards irrespective of culture. Specifically, the Commission periodically publishes the Register of Orders of Chivalry. This advisory document is published the assist the chivalric community, and is based on the evaluation decorations by the members of the Commission who are leading scholars and authorities in the field.

The Seat of Vitéz draws the attention of current and future members of the Order of Vitéz to the fact that membership in chivalric organizations not recognized by sovereign states and the International Committee of Orders of Chivalry (ICOC) entails exclusion of members of the Order of Vitéz and a reason for exclusion from the admission of applicants.

Furthermore, the indication of noble titles that are not generally recognized is prohibited in the documents created during the operation of the Order of Vitéz, and the use of these titles is not permitted at events organized by the Order of Vitéz or during the representation of the Order in general.

The Protestant Hungarian church get together for an Advent service on Saturday, December 18, in Cologne. The music of the ceremony was once again undertaken by the German staff captain of the Order, Vitéz Gábor von Hegyi, and the cantor of the Hungarian Catholic Church in Cologne, Edit Mustos. The program was “do it yourself” for the little ones during the holiday, and then again this year Santa Claus came to give presents to the children of our community. The service was part of the Hungarian Days in Düsseldorf, because the organizer – the Hungarian Consulate General in Düsseldorf – do special attention to supporting the churches.

On December 4, 2021 in the magnificent halls of the Philharmonic Academy in Casale Monferrato HIRH vitéz József Károly von Habsburg-Lothringen, archduke of Austria and royal prince of Hungary knighted new members of the Order of Vitéz. Dr. Vitéz Count Pierfelice degli Uberti stated in his speech that the Order of Vitéz is the most important knightly Order in the world. While all other chivalric orders give new members the title knight, the Order of Vitez award the title “vitéz” (“hero”) which is a rare noble honour in Hungarian tradition.

We organized for the ninth time this year, our charity concert – in Cologne Germany – by the Hungarian Catholic Church and the Vitézi Rend together, where the artists of the Hungarian community in Ruhr and Rhineland showed their knowledge. Because the strict epidemiological regulations, the concert was embedded in a celebratory Mass. On the end of the Mass Edit Mustos – the secretary and organist of the ministry – received the Silver Cross of the Hungary. This year, with the full receipt of the concert, which was bit more like 3200€, we supported the István Regőczi Foundation in Budapest.
