Church consecration in Vizslás

December 13, 2022

Author: Vitéz Baron Tamás Tunkel, Staff Captain of East Hungary Region

The Order of Vitéz was invited by the village of Vizslás in Nógrád County to a festive church consecration. On December 11, 2022, I participated in the event on behalf of our Order. The consecration of the renovated Roman Catholic church in Vizslás was performed by Zsolt Marton, Bishop of Diocese of Vác in the context of the holy mass that started at 11:00. Dr. István Ferenc Bablena, vice-chairman of the Nógrád County Assembly and Chairman of the KDNP in Nógrád County, also took part in the ceremony.

Mr. József Sándor, the mayor of Vizslás village, invited the guests to a joint lunch after the ceremony. The mayor has only been in office for two years, but he serves his town enthusiastically and devotedly. As a former Piarist student in Vác, he considers it important to preserve the basic principles of faith in God, the nation and the family. It was a great honor for the Order of Vitéz to participate in an important festive event in the life of the village of Vizslás and the local religious community.
