Determining the Genetic Past of the Hungarian People

November 28, 2024

Author: Vitéz Zoltán József Molnár

A lecture titled “Determining the Genetic Past of the Hungarian People: A Comparison of Recent and Archaic Samples” was presented by Dr. vitéz Imre Küzmös, a former expert of the collaborative project between the Institute for Hungarian Research and the Department of Genetics at the University of Szeged. The event took place in Balkány, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, under the organization of the Seat Captaincy of Northeast Hungary Region of the Order of Vitéz

This topic represents an exceptionally exciting area of historical research. As Dr. vitéz Imre Küzmös explained: “DNA research allows us to uncover our past to a depth that no one could have dreamed of a few decades ago—or even ten years ago—using the history written in our very own cells!”
