A Vitézi Rend

A Vitézi Rendet Magyarország kormányzója alapította „a legbátrabbak tiszteletére és az áldozatok emlékére”. A Vitézi Rend hisz a vallás, a nemzet és a család mint alapelvek fontosságában. Mindenekelőtt fontosnak tartja Magyarország nemzeti szuverenitásának megőrzését, a nemzeti értékek tiszteletben tartását, valamint a keresztény életmód ösztönzését.

 The Order of Vitéz

The Order of Vitéz was founded by the Regent of Hungary “to honor the bravest and remember their sacrifice”. The Order of Vitéz believes in the importance of fundamental principles such as religion, nation and family. First of all, it considers it important to preserve Hungary’s national sovereignty, the national values and to encourage a christian way of living.

Our History

The Order of Vitéz is a Military Order based on christian confession and encouraging a life with the highest ethical values.In 1928, in the preface to the large volume titled A magyar nemzet hadtörténelme (A military history of the Hungarian nation), Archduke and Field Marshal Vitez Joseph August of Habsburg-Lorraine wrote, “In most cases, the past is but a mirror of the future which gives a clear picture of how to avoid big troubles and how serve a better future. Let us learn from this work, and let us not be disheartened, because the strong Hungarian spirit is is still alive.”

The Order of Vitéz was founded by the Governor of Hungary, admiral Miklós Horthy, in 1920. Its Captain General from 1977 to 2017 was József Árpád, Royal Prince of Hungary, and now his son, Prince József Károly.

The Order of Vitéz is a Military Order based on christian confession and encouraging a life with the highest ethical values.

The International Commission for Orders of Chivalry (I.C.O.C.) – a privately funded organization of experts in knightly orders, based in Milan – recognized the Order of Vitéz in 1962 and added it among its members.
